Amber O. Haller
I am overjoyed to be participating in the Westford Common Hall’s collaborative photographic exhibit “Earth and Sky” and am always honored to be able to share my work! I have lived in Vermont for 22 years and have enjoyed life in Westford for 18 of those years. I grew up in the town of Potsdam, New York and, after earning a B.A. in Theater at SUNY Oswego, I moved to New York City where I soon realized that I’d rather be behind the camera lens than in front of it! My theater experience was the perfect springboard to becoming a headshot photographer for actors. After several years in NYC, I moved to Burlington, VT and knew immediately that it was a great choice.
Vermont is a place of exceptional beauty year-round with some of the most engaging and generous people I have ever known. I am never at a loss for photographic subjects, whether it is the autumn light glinting off a barn roof, or a close-up of a spring bloom. I still love portrait photography as well, even if my subjects are not always human!
The works I have chosen to show for this exhibition of “Earth and Sky” reflect my love of vibrant color as well as the integral role light plays in each scene we see. The world is a beautiful place, and I feel lucky that sometimes, I’m able to capture that beauty in a photo.
Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy my photos.
